**ONTARIO, CANADA - Love nature?** Play, work and discover Bruce Peninsula and Georgian Bay. We are seeking an energetic couple with your own coach/RV for 2020 seasonal help with grounds maintenance on large private estate located on west side of Georgian Bay.
FHU (30/50 amp, water, sewer; wifi; phone) paved creekside campsite with private patio and furniture.
Trade (20 hrs/wk per couple) for site plus opportunity for optional paid hourly work.
PERFECT FOR SNOWBIRD COUPLE with flexible start/end dates (between April and mid-November).
We've been hiring working couples since 2012 with our latest couple staying 5 seasons. They've retired and we're ready to meet our next couple. Is it you?
Responsibilities
- Care of all lawns (mow, trim) and vegetable/flower gardens (plant, weed, cultivate, harvest)
- We grow our annual flowers and vegetables from seed in our private greenhouse; help with transplanting and planting
- Most tasks are machine-assisted with equipment supplied and maintained by us. Assisted-drive and riding lawnmowers, whipper snipper/weed whacker, leaf blowers and more make everything much easier and quite pleasant
- There are a few manual tasks such as fertilizing, deadheading flowers and weeding gardens
- Turnarounds at rental property(ies) mid-June to mid-September (paid hourly rate)
Job Requirements
- These tasks are physical and may require standing, lifting, bending, kneeling and working outside for extended periods (1-2 hours at a time)
- Although no particularly heavy lifting is required, you will need to be in reasonable physical condition, able to work several sequential hours; have no outdoor allergies, breathing issues or medical conditions (knees, back, hip, etc.) that would preclude performing your duties
- Ability to work independently; be a team player; schedule within a framework; complete task(s)
